A shimmering star slides down the horizon, it’s light flickering dim.
—
A golden maiden gazing upwards, hair whisping in the breeze
—
A glisten of tear, sliding down her cheek, kissing the rosy glow.
—
A memory of loss fading beneath the sunset, dissolving to grey.
—
A blade within her heart, sadness and pain
—
Will the sun ever rise again?
—
There upon the darkness, a glimmer of hope
—
Breath caught upon her throat, the last tear falls slowly
—
A drop, no splash, disappearing into the darkness by her feet
—
A faint light, barely a glow, appears upon the eastern row
—
A glimmer of hope… just a glimmer
—
So hold on… onto the glimmer
